A good assessment of what could transpire. It could also be a low scoring game, as well. With Reimer down, with a short term knee injury, the Leafs may be inclined to try and defend a lead, if they can keep the score down, after two. In theory, that may happen, but your theory is more plausable with a run and gun game, with lots of physical play.

Given the Leafs road record, I'm not sure you can classify this as a game that the Canes "probably should win". Should be a good game.

I think that given our injuries and the 'Canes super-stars all hitting their strides you could say that Carolina should win it. Reasonable.

I don't think that having Scrivens in net or even if Rynnas got the start will change the way the leafs play. Leafs have been playing good and have a win streak going. Why change things up when you're playing solid? I think their last game against carolina was a complete wake up call for the leafs and this rematch will be a much different outcome. I personally think Scrivens can do just as good as Reimer if not better. For a benched goalie he did a stellar job when he replaced Reimer the other night. We'll see how things go the next 2-3 games. No need for leafs management to hit the panic button. The team as a whole has been playing good hockey. Keep it up guys!

Im grateful too, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be corrected when he makes mistakes.

I hope this doesn't turn into another Cam Ward show. If Ward gets exposed early, this should be another W for the Leafs.
Even though Scrivens has played well as of late, he still scares me. When he has a bad game, he has A BAD-GAME.... he can't stop a beach ball.

Hope to see Kess notch a couple tonight.

Hoping for some Leafs revenge tonight, Carolina is one of those teams I'm neutral about (don't love or hate) but a win is a win, and getting one tonight will really help keep the Leafs afloat to stay in the middle of the playoff pack.

Ward just played both ends of a back to back and Ellis has played well this season except for one start. He deserves the work and Cam can use a rest after a 6 game 11 day road trip.

Canes are minus Gleason and Pitkanen which puts a struggling Bobby Sanguinetti back in the lineup probably paired with Michal Jordan making his NHL debut.

With last change on home ice and 3 days off following this one, Muller will probably exercise his option to log real heavy minutes from his top 4 dmen and mostly try to pick spots/hide the kids.

I say Canes win 6-4 just like Monday against the Isles.

I hate how people comment on the bloggers. These guys don't get paid for this. They do it because they love the sport. You have to respect that. Matt, I think is one of the best ones on this site. Ek and Garth seem to take the most bashing they, deserve a break, yes Ek gets paid, nobody else does. How many people have an English degree that think they can give a comment because a person misspelled a word or didn't phrase the sentence correctly.
